If you bought it from like a website or a shop, Why don't you just contact them and ask. Just wondering how high of compression are you going?

It is "iffy" yes it probably will work and yes it may make it blow. The gasket is still going to sit on the sleeve area just not flush with the wall of the cylinder. As long as all of the other holes still line up properly, which they will if the gasket is for the right motor.
This is what it will look like on one side once it is put together. It may or may not effect your compression ratio and it may or may not cause problems down the road. But why take a chance contact the seller and see if they can help you out in any way.

(headgasket is the black area)
