News flash to the b16/gsr bullshit...my b20 hatch beats them all day...beat b16 coupes/del sols/hatches...beat a gsr teg and hatch...kept right up with a lsvtec teg side by side. If you mod the b20 nicely and tune it you will have a decently quick car. Vtec head should only cost 300-500, vtec kit is like 200, arp rod bolts $60, arp head studs $120, and you will need new bearings for the bottom end and a tune. You will see yourself spending around $1500 if you let someone else do the work or if you are very good at findings deals and doing the work yourself it will cost less than a grand to vtec it and tune it and you will end up with around 180whp. Or just boost it lightly and be around 230whp all day long for about $1000 more.

listen to them and do it yourself i recently bought a 92 prelude with an h22a vtec motor in it. and its cost me well over 400$ and about 14-15hrs of labor to get the damm thing running right

 

Id get it and if you want to make it a vtec then call me. I currently run a b20 vtec in my civic.
