K20 piston question

Can stock k20 pistons fit on LS rods? If they can what compression ratio would they yield?

I was thinking of putting k20 pistons on LS rods in a b20 as a cheap way to up compression but I am assuming that it can't be done.

Dont Think It Can Be Done, I Have Heard Of K Pistons On F Rods? But Never B Series

^ I'm with that.

Anyone else with input? I did some research and couldn't find anything. Thanks to those who replied too.

no the answer is no , and your damn sure not gonna fit k pistons in a b20 block - deck height is different k is 86mm b20 is 84 there would be alot of custom work needed for u to even think about building a 86 mm b series

Thank you sir...that was what I was looking for. I hope you know your stuff because I am taking your word for it. Rep given.

Deck height isn't a factor - that has to do with the K20 block, not the piston. The compression height of a k20 and a b series piston like p30 is the same at 1.181. The issue is the pin size. K20s use a .860 pin, while the LS/B series has a .827 pin.

i thought the k series block was 87x87 mm. i know its square bore. either way you would need a ton of sleeve work to make the bore useable, a really good head gasket to seal the thing, and like nick said, u would have to find a way to make the pin work. perhaps a set of custom rods. your best bet is the rs machine itr copy piston that they make for b20s.

k20= 86x86
k24= 87x99
