Ok guys. Here is the question. I have a Apexi-1 Catback with 60mm piping and I need to get a Cat with a 2.5 inch Inlet and a a 2.5 inch outlet. 60mm is roughly 2.36 inches which means that my Current catback falls short by approx 3.5mm which isnt that much. Do you guys think Ill have any problems trying to get it to fit? I dont feel like dumping money on another exhaust.

Piece of cake... just dump the cat... use a test pipe that has a 2.5inlet and slowly tapers down to the 60mm you have on the catback exhaust... should still be WAY better than the stock setup you have now.

Good luck... cant wait till the Demon is ready...

or you can find a ghetto flange at any muffler shop to hook it up.

I used to have a cat but I found out I was allergic. So one day I just left the door open and it ran away. Life has been much better since then.

To answer the question though itll be a restriction but as for bolting it up who knows till you try. If the bolt holes match then just slap on the gasket and torque the bolts down. If the holes dont match see if you cant enlarge them enough (on the cat) to allow proper placement.

Since your exhaust has a 60mm opening and the cat pipe has an ID of 2.5 use a grinder to slightly taper the exhaust flange so the flow is smothed out and also slightly increase flow velocity. If you cant get the bolts to line up you could buy a flange from jcwhitney for $2 and cut and weld it to your exhaust.

dont know about tapering it out the metal aint exactly thick on that flange and you need to keep it kinda beefy to support the connection with the intermediate piping. Just think of the mismatch as a poor mans anti-reversion step.
