headgaskets are available from parts stores via special order

Headers show up on ebay from time to time
not alot of aftermarket support for this generation

I would get a headgasket and go to the junkyard to see if ANYTHING will interchange.

If nothing fits exactly, and I had to have some headers, next step would be to find something close to the gasket pattern, and buy THAT aftermarket header, then cut and weld in the right places, so that it DOES fit.........blessed as I am, anything fits anything.....but sometimes you have to work at it.....and I don't quit easily... you will have a hard time trying to match any other Honda headers.
These had a exhaust design drastically different pattern from any other Honda.
2 separate, but matching independant gaskets

Not all of us (are blessed to ) have your skills (senor honda)to mod up stuff....if it does't bolt on then i have to pay somebody to make it fit.

yep...86 was the first year of the D series designation. The year before the same engine was called EW

Headgasket?? --> local auto parts.

Header?? --> Hedman Hedders 37010 - Hedman Chikara Hedders

For you to run that header you would have to FIRST find an 85-87 Civic or CRX Si oil pan and oil pickup. Youd have to swap them for your dx oil pan and oil pickup as they wont work with this header.

^ good stuff... yeah the header is super weird... mine had the cat attached to it..

yep head gasket is 22.00 from discount auto parts..

oh it sucks to put on... if your car is carborated..

i just did one on my 87 Crx... horrible time.. like 40 vac lines.. and the headgasket is paper.. took me like 2 hours to remove all of the old gasket..

Motor should be a D15A2..
