97 prelude help!!!!!!

Default 97 prelude help!!!!!! know one knows?

just bought a 97 prelude not a sh model and was going thro it and there is not blance shalft belt and the blance shalft pullys dont turn and there frozen but the car runs any one know why the blance shalft pullys would be frozen? or have seen this before?

you're gonna have to either force them from the pulleys or pull the oil pan and force them from in there...im guessing some genius thought it would give them more horse power to not put the belts on and the burnt oil coated them causing them to bind.

id just go balance shaft elimination. more torque, less rotating mass

Working in the cold, covered in oil and grease and had to work on my back for several hours trying to figure out what the F**k was going on didn't really care about my spelling and grammer, when I was making the thread that night. Also I went back to working on the car after the post.

the balace shafts are only there to make the engine vibrate less. but if you dont mind the vibration then its fine to remove them, but it'll prolly be easier to free them up.

Yea I know that, but the car keeps dying and shuting off in netural and first gear take off due to the low rpm its at like 200 rpms some times, and I think the balance belt not being there and the pullys frozen has a lot to due with it.

Oyea the green switch on the vtec solenoid is broken but don't think that has anything to due with it.

IF it broke stuck open, it could be causing it...but thats doubtfull.
