i have a b18b1 in my hatch and the distributor went out. the dizzy is a one plug

my friend gave me the dizy off his obd1 b18a1 which is a 2 plug harness can i change the harness ?

if so does somebody have the diy on it or can give me detailed instruction to do it, i would really appreciate

so, your car/wiring harness is a obd2? or obd0?

 

obd1 with 1 plug dizzy(CAR) and (dizzy) is a 2 plug obd1 of an a1

What are the different colors?

 

Are you sure the new plug is obd1? What color are the old plugs and what color are the new ones? The old ones should be gray and the new ones (the dual plug one) are probably clear looking which is obd0.

 

just basically put one plug on top of the other and thats how the wires go in to 1 plug connector. knowing that, if you pull the cap off the dizzy and see where one of the wires goes, you will know which way to point the plkugs. then just pull the pins and put em in the new plug. takes 10 minutes.
