Question to the N/A single cam guys
Question to the N/A single cam guys
whats the farthest you guys have ever milled the head down on a single cam?
ive heard of lots of people do 30/1000 or 40/1000 and i think i heard once of a guy doing 60/1000
but what about something crazy... like 100/1000?

Honestly I cannot remember what we milled my head down to. We also decked the block so i don't think we went to crazy with the head. If I ever find the notes on the car in my pile of receipts I may be able to tell you.
On my 94 coupe the head was really warped from the Idiots in TX running the car over the red hot. Someone picked up that head and had it milled and it was to the very limit of what could be done. Can't remember the numbers on that one either.
If you are thinking about going extreme on the mill remember to plasti guage to check for valve clearance and to check the compression.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.
