H23a is a sohc stock. 230 crank hp?? LOL, ok.

its a dohc. the usdm h23 bottom and h22 head puts out 220hp, the jdm h23 vtec does 230hp due to an 11:1 comp

I would do a full usdm si 2000 front end conversion. Front and rear disc conversion if you don't already have them. Gsr with bolton's and your done. Clean car with a nice motor.

They do have H23 DOHC Non-vtec,a stock H22 puts out 200 hp stock i think so a H22/H23 combo would make alot of power i don't know what i'm saying just stating there is such a thing and i think its called the Frankenstien swap G23 or G22 something like that .

I'd do a full gsr swap for sure (transmission, motor, etc.) with a nice header and a nice, chambered exhaust. It will be fast and it will sound good.
