prelude running rich, suggestions
You don't have to tune for the fuel pump you just need an adjustable pressure regulator to turn it back down to factory pressure. Putting in a better pump does not change the flow rating on the injectors but the higher pressure from a more powerful pump pushes more fuel through them. If you put it back down to stock fuel pressure (right around 43psi with the vacuum unhooked) it should fix your problem.
If that doesn't help out it sounds like you could have an injector stuck open. Usually installing a Walbro doesn't cause a problem as bad as yours.

yea, adjustable fpr would work. thats what i was leaning towards(i didnt mean like, dyno tune, i just meant you threw the pump in and thats it, no adjusting anything)

Putting that new fuel pump isnt going to make your stock FPR send more psi. The new fuel pump isnt gonna make it jump past the rated psi of the stock FPR

ive installed these pumps on several differant cars and have never had a problem with the stock regulator. i dont think the flow rate of the fuel will affect the pressure maintained by the regulator. its just a spring valve that opens at a certain pressure to let the fuel run off back into the tank...so unless your return line is bent/clogged somewhere, you shouldnt be having this problem.
