hi....i recently lowered my civic a little more and now im not sure if it is the shocks or struts(or are shocks and struts the same thing?)that are queaking REALLY BAD and it is annoying the hell out of me...it now sounds like an old redneck truck or something when i hit any kind of bump....anyone have any ideas and some suggestions on what kind of shocks/struts i should get? i found tikico blues for 250 shipped..is that a good price?

My car does the same. It is a 95 civic hatch. I have tokico blues with skunk2 coilovers. I just ignore it. It does it only on the front struts and coilovers. On mine I think it is the rubber spacer at the top of the spring that is making the noise but I dont really care nothing I can do about it. Just my .02 cents.

i also have tokico blues and skunk coils.

also i have a bad lower ball joint. and i have no squeeks

you dont seem to knowledgable about cars so could u maybe be hearing bad cv joints? it makes an obvious clicking noise. also try checking this shield near ur brakes that is used to keep them from gettin dirty. if that thing is touching the rotor
it makes a fuckin ANNOYING SQUEEK!!!!!!!

Also I said possibly it could be my ball joints that dosent mean I was saying that the ball joints are making the noise. When I have my ball joints replaced I will see if I need new cv joints.

Sounds like it might be shocks itll happen when you lower your car on oem shocks. Have a friend put weight on one corner at a time and sorta bounce it while you try and listen and get a better idea of where the sound is coming from. It could also be a number of bushings in the suspension system. Check the sway bar bushings and make sure they arent deteriorated. Also check the lower ball joints and see if the boots are broken they wont go bad without the boot breaking first. Just ideas.
