95 civic starting problems

Default 95 civic starting problems

i have a 95 civic ex 5speed n it wouldnt start last nite...the starter wouldnt even make the clicking sound and itll only start if i push start it. can any1 help me diagnose the problem...call me names justin 8134071938....i need help asap

sum dude dat works at kuhn honda said it mite not b the starter it cld b the ignition switch or 2check da battery

does it start when u push it? if so it could be the clutch switch. its located behind the top of the clutch pedal under the dash. jsut check that.

Try jumpiong the starter first to eliminate that option. Here's how u do it...Get a short piece of wire preferally 4 or 8 gauge. On the starter u have the main wire that goes to the starter(from battery) and rt next to that wire is a another wire with a boot on it(goes to clutch safety switch). Take that boot of and jump that connector sticking out to the power on the starter(make sure u r in neutral). If the motor turns over its a bad clutch safety switch if it does not turn over its your starter. More than likely one of those is your problem

yea thnx ppl...it was my clutch swtich i switched it yesterday afternoon when every1 was writin 2dis thread but thnx alot ppl...any1 kno if john vega does good work cuz im gettin my ecu chipped n socketed by him nex week n he's hookin up my d15b vtec?
