Hi
I drive a 1990 CRX Si with a b16a1 motor in it.
And on New Years fucking Eve I tore my passenger side inner CV boot while backing out of my friends drive way.

Well I know I need to replace that axle and I do not remember what year Integra axles I need. I think its either 90 or 91 Integ axles but I just wanted to make sure.

Is there a certain year integ axle that is stronger than the others and would work on my setup? (For example the 92-93.)

Thanks
Mike.

I was thinking about just getting just the boot but while I was driving home I heard nuts and bolts hiting the underside of my car...so I figured they fell out of the boot. I dont want to take any chances.

depending on what motor mounts you have and how your motor is sitting.. normally the 90-93 axels are a little snug.. I have used the dust rings before on swaps and also had cars where it wouldnt fit with them.. I personally dont use them on my car.. but am also in the process of putting new axels together..89 integra shaft and outer knuckel w/ 91 inner knuckel= Sir axel
I guess it is more of a personal thing.. when all else fails fall back on what you know works..

Can someone please tell me if this is correct?
Im confused. The old axle had this ring. ColJew you are talking about the quarter sized ring that is on the end that goes into the tranny right? If not then what exactly are you talking about?

I would apprietiate it if someone could clear this up for me.

Thanks
Mike.

Take the ring off or you might bind the axle in the hub. Depending on what intermediate shaft you used would determine the axles you can use. If you used the s1/j1 then use the 90-93 teg axles. If you used the y1 then you would need to get a custom drivers side axle made out of 86-89 teg axle with 90-93 teg jack shaft.

no I mean the black plastic ring maybe 3 inches in dia. on the hub side of the axel.. not the snap ring.. that holds the axel in the tranny...
