gsr issue. help please!!!!!!!
hey tr i have a 93 gsr in my eg. i had an issue with it today and would like a little info as to wut coulda happened. after i changed my oil today the bolt that holds in the crankshaft pulley suddenly flew out after i turnded it on and reved to about 2000rpm. i put the bolt back in and tightened it as hard as i could. turned it on and it seemed fine. so i drove it around the block wen out of no where the car starts to sputter then jus completely jolted and cut off. now every time i try to turn it on it comes on then cuts off. i was told its most likeely the timing but have no idea. please lemme noe anything will help.

+1 on the timing. The harmonic balencer runs the altenator, and/or powersteering, AC. Nothing would happen to the timing belt when the bolt comes out, your going to need an IMPACT gun to tighten that bolt. Just make sure your altenator belt is REAL tight, that could be the issue because the battery runs 12v output and they never have enough amps to run a motor for long. but deff check that timing belt for how loose it is, or you could have jumped a tooth, or teeth in your case. Good luck.
If you need someone to come out and take a look give me a call my number is in my sig
