Higher Compression
NO YOU CANT!!! you can dump all the fuel in there u want, but if you dont pull timing from that motor its still going to detonate at 14:1 compression. honestly another .5 to 1 pt comp is not going to get u that much more power with out upgrading cams/valvetrain. and with that youre going to have to tune it really well anyway. I would say the safe limit (esp with the fl heat) is 11.5:1 MAX. anything much higher and u have to detune and pull timing to run 93 octane gas. which means youll be wasting ur time and will make similar power at lower compression. honestly, if u want more power from your b18c, put some flat faced vales in the head, a nice set of cams, valve springs, and retainers, and a thinner head gasket. that will put you in the 11.5-11.8:1 range and with larger cams and a better fuel system if tuned right it will be a monster on the street. thats my opinion. anything much higher than that compression wise and youre wasitng your time. the larger cams will help bleed off some of that compression so youll be safe that way. and please for the love of pete tune the damn thing VERY WELL! get a good tuning system and let someone who knows what theyre doing have at it!
thanks for the help guys, I think ill just get some Cams, a thinner headgasket, Dual valve springs, titanium retainers, and maybe get the head ported, and for tuning, ill go to vega, he did my brothers car, and it was a monster!

Gong to bigger cams will lower your compression. You can get it back, though, with the thinner gasket or flat valves recommended by Sleep.
Lots of people end up disappointed in their cam upgrade because they end up lowering dynamic compression and losing a bit of power.
You wouldn't buy new cams and then cancel the power they make by throwing 10 bowling balls in the trunk, would you?
A cam upgrade forces you to think about compression, and also exhaust header/exhaust system if you really want to get the most from them.

hence when i said the bigger cams will bleed off some of your compression. thats what i meant. the thinnet gasket will make up for it. dont worry bout the pistons.

and please remember when you start getting into thinner headgaskets and larger cams you have to worry more about interference if problems,

^+1.
Valve to piston clearance,etc.
I say go 12.1's,but i'm an extremest.

You have a clean car and the wow factor of the b18c but honestly in my opinion I would just use a differant block with the ls stroke and say a set of pr2 pistons or something aftermarket if you want to spray. A thinner head gaskett can become an issue in clearance and they tend to blow easier.
