Smoke problem....Help..

Default Smoke problem....Help..

I was wondering is anyone can help me out....I have a GSR motor and im getting white smoke...the only time it smokes white when i step on it...but when im driving it dont..idk what it could be just happens when i step on it all the way..if anyone can help i know im leaking oil from the head because i see oil coming out right above where it says B18..im getting that replaced but idk if thats the problem...thanks

you need a cylinder leak down test performed. it can isolate where your problem is.

so a leak down test will tell me what the problem is?

Leak down tells you where the leak is if it is in the head gaskett, head, or rings then you know where the problem is. Also verigy that it is white, blue or black smoke.

if the smoke is white, thats bad, that coolant in you combustion chambers. since you said that the motor is leaking oil from the head gasket, it could also be allowing coolant to seep into cylinder #4. check your coolant and see if it has dropped. either way you want to replace that head gasket right away to avoid anymore damage to your motor.

also the leakdown test will isolate the leak

ok guys thanks for the help...i guess i have some work to do to the motor...ill prob have to bring the head to the machine shop i guess
