okay tr when ever i press the gas on my car it idles down and the car shuts off.... now i need to know it its the fuel pump?i changed the fuel filter and was working good then all of a sudden today it did it again... help how do it fix the fuel pump in the gas tank am i right...?

maybe bad fuel pressure regulator???

maybe bad plugs???

thats what was wrong with my poor mans type R...

Sputtering when trying to get going....

 

cold be alot of things. but the fact that it stopped and came back means its one of these:

fuel pump
fuel pressure regulator
tps
map
wiring


you can test the tps without removing it so start there. if its good check the fuel pressure. map sensors are everywhere at the junkyard, get 3 or 4, if none of them solve it then its prolly the wiring. and yes the fuel pump is in the tank, how you access it depends on the car and the year.

 

atm i gues sim going to check the dizzy and the spark plugs and the wires...

 

idk i was just driving it and it seemed fine doesnt the fuel work or not work ???

do you have the check engine light on?
start there
if not, check the fuel pressure like stated above.
