H22 swap

Default H22 swap

Ok guys I have a question about my front springs.I have lowering springs all around my ek.I'm putting h22 in and I need to know what springs I will have to use to match up once swaped.Hope someone has done this before and might know.Thanks for any help.

Even if someone could tell me the weight difference between h22wtranny vis d16w tranny.

well seeing how the h22 is a 2.2 and the d16 is a 1.6 there is alot of weight difference .. but you shouldnt have to change your springs. i have lowering springs from eibach with the strut(the whole set) and all i gotta do is raise up the front a lil to make sure motor dont hit ground or so it dont look like your front is lower then rear. just get goot springs

Ya I have lowering springs not coil overs.And with my 18's it sets almost on top of the tires.That is why I was asking.This way I can get a set costum mad for the right weight and hieth.

No need to swap out your springs, Believe it or not the weight difference between a B series and an H series is minimal. You should already have aftermarket shocks for your lowering springs, that would be the only thing I would worry about.

i went from a d to an h22 in my old sol and i didnt thave to change out the springs. the ride actually felt smoother to me.
