Rebuilding the B16 in the Sol. I would like to have 11.0:1 to 11.5:1 C/R using HONDA OEM Pistons.

Thoughts are B16 pistons with decked head and Mugen Headgasket or CTR pistons with thick headgasket...or something like that.

What are your suggestions?

Charles

Im going for the CTR pistons with a Spoon 1ply this should bring the compression up into the 11.5:1 area. dont forget to use arp stud bolts and rod bolts when you rebuild.

I was under the impression that CTR pistons in a B16 with B16 rods yields a 12.1:1 C/R...or something like that.

nevermind...just found the specs. Ctr pistons in B16 yield 11.1:1. Add another .4:1 C/R from a spoon/mugen headgasket would equal 11.5:1. I think this is how I will go.

Who has the best prices on CTR pistons/rings?
GodSpeed? JDMHondaParts?
