tranny going out need help!?

Default tranny going out need help!?

first and second gear is becoming notchy, is my only option replacing the whole tranny? and if so what kind of tranny's can I buy to mount up to my engine? I have 95 ls, 5 gear. need help thanks!

You can well you can have it rebuilt, or you could buy a brand new one. Other than that, you could buy a used one from someone here on TR, but youll never know the condition of it. Unless you drive it before they pull it.

How many miles on your car? Have you changed the tranny fluid at all?

Try a better fluid before tearing down and rebuilding.

drain and refill it with honda manual tranny fluid!! first...
