Question Right wheel thump when braking!!

Ok, TR, I have a dilemma! My car is driving me nuts with this thump it just developed!! To describe my car, I have a 91 DA with Eibach Pro-kit springs, KYB G-2 struts, and Skunk2 UCAs. Other than that, it has the stock suspension. The car, around the right wheel well makes a loud thumping noise when the car initially accelerates and just before I come to a stop. And if I press the brake pedal real fast and hard while coasting, the tump will appear as long as I am rolling and pressing the brake pedal quick and hard; I can make it thump on demand. Also, the car wants to wonder while driving down the road, as in it follows the lines in the road pretty badly. I just got the thing aligned and I would have more than likely found the problem today but it was pouring down rain all day so I had no chance to check it out.

Basically I am trying to find someone who has seen this sort of problem in the past and find out what they did to correct it.

Again, the noise is definitely coming from the right front wheel well and is felt pretty prominantly through the floor board, only when braking hard and quickly. If you all have any suggestions to what my problem may be, shoot them my way and thanks in advance. Oh, have I meantioned that the thump is driving me nutts??!!

You just got it aligned and it wanders off line? Let your alignment man tell you why it doesn't track and why it makes noise. His job is to make it track and inspect all joints and bushing to ensure it can hold alignment. Hold him accountable for his work.

yeah, I plan on it. I just want to find what broke before I go back. also, I didn't notice the tracking problem until I went up to North Carolina where the roads suck more than they do here, lol

so, I took apart the right side suspension and checked everything! I still can't find the thump! caliper is tight, upper control arm bushings are perfect, uca ball joint is perfect, tie rod ends are perfect, both inner and outer, lower ball joint looks good and doesn't move outside it's designed range. sway bar bushings are perfect, both inners and the sway bar end links. lower control arms have perfect bushings, all bolts are tight as they should be. cv axle is perfect and in perfectly on both ends. uca was slightly touching the inside of the shock tower cup area. I fixed that with a dremel. I can't tell for sure if I fixed the thump or not as I couldn't make it thump tonight after I disassembled and reassembled everything. could it be a mount, as in the rear motor mount? the motor does shift a bit when under load and when down shifting, it tends to want to jerk a bit. would that make a thumping sound as described in the thread start?

yeah, I'll decide if I want to ignore it tomorrow or not after I get it realigned, lol. if the alignment fixes the tracking, the thump will mean less to me for sure because I would hate to be driving down the road and have a ball joint or tie rod break on me!! god, I would be so pissed!!
