does anyone know it I can use ls rods in a d16? also if I remove my IACV (Idle Air Control Value) coolant lines off of my throttle body would that cause any problems? plz help I don't know if i have correct information.

you can use the rods but they must be bushed to accept the smaller wrist pin. and yes removing those lines would cause problems. leave them on there.

I have always bypassed those coolant lines and never had a problem.

LS rods also have to be shaved down on the sides and the blocks must be notched for them to clear.

Find where the water enters the lines from the block and where it goes back into the block after passing through the throttle body...and just run a hose from the point before the throttle body to the point after. I know I seen a diagram floating around here before. It is called a throttle body coolant bypass.

Why do you want to do this?

+1 on bypassing the lines, my hatch hasnt had them for years and even starting up in 35 degree weather in spring hill its fine

but honda did put them there for a reason, and there is no performance gain really, if the car is stock leave em. I did it just to clean up that area
