Default cluster questions

ok I have a 95 civic coupe and it has a d15b7 hydro tranny and my speedo is not working I took the cluster off and there does not seem to be any place to plug in a speedo cable as well as there is not one on the tranny. I know what I am saying may sound stupid but does anyone know what could be wrong or how to fix it?

you dont have a speedo cable. it has a Vehicle Speed Sensor, it should be throwing a check engine light. if so check the connection on the 3 wire pulg on the back of the tranny, if that is good replace the VSS........one more thing CHECK YOUR FUSES(should prob. do that first)
