I've never done boost on my motors but I hear LS is the best way to go on a turbo application. Just my .02

thats a myth from back in the day.if you can get the itr get that cause of the close gearing and the factory diff.

Of course LSD is a must but u can get aftermarket for an LS so what makes the itr better for boost? what about b16?

Well for one like I said it already comes with a diff. So you won't have to tear the tranny apart and put
One in. Its all about cost effectiveness, if you can get a b-16 tranny for a good price and a diff for a good price and have it installed go that route then. The b-16 and type R relatively have the same gearing.

with the torque you're going to be putting out, i wouldnt go with an itr or a b16 tranny if its going to be a street car. i would get either a gsr or an ls tranny.

First off everyone here has it wrong.Type r tranny's are over $1800 brand new.And if you had one with the 4.78 final it wouldn't be the greatest thing for drag racing on a nasty turbo car cause you would have to grab 5th in the quarter unless you rolled the tallest tire on the planet.all fast turbo honda's only use 4 gears down the track, hence the Liberty cuff that eliminates fith gear.Liberty custom face plated straight cut gears in a ls case with a lsd diff is the way to go as far as I am concearned but it all depends on what your trying to do with the car.Budget is always a concearn.if your gonna straight line race the car get an ls and a diff,if your gonna road race the car get a U.S. or JDM type r.Don't evern bother with the b16 unless it has a diff.b16 with a diff is the same as U.S> type r in my opinion so get whatever is cheaper.and you can alway's hybridize your gear set's outta factoy cars to get somethig that wor'ks both way's per say like a type r 1-3 and a gsr 4th and a ls 5th. depends on what your trying to do like I said before.Eloborate on the setup please.
