Is it really nescesary to pay upwards of $100 or a K&N or AEM system? I see a filter its just like a K&N but only $20 shipped brand new on eBay. The reason I ask is because I just put my ATV K&N on my car and it was the perfect fit lol But the K&N for even my ATV cost $40 or so just for the filter and if the $20 one actually made for the car new intake tube and all is equal or better why pay $40 for a ATV K&N to fit on my car.

 

Do everything right the first time around and you'll NEVER have to do it again by choice.

 

I agree but my borther has the $20 air intake system on his truck and I was shocked when he said how cheap it was. I said how much did that K&N for your truck cost $100 something? He said its not K&N and it was only $20. It looks just like a K&N same filter design and all just cheaper. I'm not looking for power gains out of a D15 but its a washable filter, sounds better, and might add 1HP. The stock filter is like a paper filter and it has to go through so much snorkel to get the air I already took a section off.

 

i messed with my girls car and took out the airbox and just coupled a autozone filter it. lol, the car felt a little smoother, has been getting better gas mileage since then. honestly a filter and pipe is all it is.

id rather buy off ebay and save $120 as opposed to aem or something. thats just what the stupid ricers do, buy brand name shit.
