ive got a stock ls vtec
and i want to boost it and i wanted to know how many lbs i can 'safely' put on stock internals bc its going to b a daily driver also

well dont do it , instead of just buying a turbo and throwing it on why do you spend some of that money on internal work

 

ya mane id have to agree dont do it it ls/vtec's dont last much as it is ls/v/t...unless you plan on spending some $$$$$ just do some work to the ls/v high comp or something

 

i wouldnt do more than 8-10 ..

 

ive found some p30 rods on craigslist should i get those or just get some forged pistons

 

and again askin how many psi ur motor can handel doesnt do anything you coulbd be useing a gtk and push 5psi and probly pop your head studs or uses a ebay turbo 15 psi and pop it lil more info its really on how much power your stock lsv can handel not on how much boost you can push

if it takes you 20 psi to hit 220whp or even 5 psi to hit 220 psi its all on the setup but lsvtec i seen 300whp on some cars as a dd all in the tune

 

I ran 12 psi on a 67mm stock lsv with ctr cams, no issues.
