starter problems, advice needed
this is my moms car, 94 accord, 2.2 automatic.
just bought a brand new starter last night, put it in, and it grinds when you start it. the car starts, and for like 1 second after it starts it makes a loud grinding/squeeching noise for about another second and then stops. what is this? there is no shims for these starters so that is not a problem, i know it is in straight and correct, and i got the new starter tested today to make sure i didnt get a defective one and that is good too. any advice here? my mom needs her car...
