ok i bought a new clutch and a use si tranny and it still wont grab when i shift it hard at high rpms, maybe it's just me but my eclipse ( stage 2 cluch) grabs ( stage 3 turbo kit, built motor) no questons about it, the si tranny makes noise when i down shift and let of the gas let it coast( like a friction noise not normal noise other tranny didn't do it) in the first 3 gears plus it make like a friction noise when i get on it in frist gear and the guy who put it in told me the flywheel was fine he said a little bit of crystallization but still good, the clutch i got is a BP ebay clutch, the clutch ad stated it was good for 270 hp and i think it was like 250 fpt around that number but def. said 270 hp, all i have is a mini me set up i got an intake manifold exhaust but only 1.75 in some places( it came that way) also i have a t3/t4 turbo sitting in my garage its got a 7.8psi jdm wastegate and i don't plan on running my then that but how much do you think a mini me can handle. i'm going to install it this weekend but i'm nervous the tranny will bust or the motor wont handle the turbo, but what hell right it's a cheap car i seen y8 swaps for like 300, i want to install the turbo fit the tranny tune it and sell it for 3k what do you all think

ttt i know at least one of you out there is honda genius just don't tell me not to do the turbo cause i'm going to do it anyway,ps i hope the the mini me's compression being higher then normal d series wont be an issue

 

ebay clutch's are junk.

you need a name brand clutch.

the noise you hear is the friction. the clutch is gettin to hot.

you need to get the flywheel resurfaced. not only for the grab but it pro longs the life of the clutch.
