Fuel pump WHINE

Default Fuel pump WHINE

Normally i hear the fuel pump come on then i dont hear it anymore, now I hear it prime then the whine keeps going, it doesnt ever shut off and i can feel the car doesnt want to go to higher rpms, its a walboro 255 any one have any idea's? its a 94 acura integra

thats how they are. they are pushing more fuel so you will hear it working. sounds sexy doesnt it?? dont worry you will eventually get used to it and not hear it as much.

Fuel pump is just dying from what it sounds. I know gm pumps whine bad before they die.

well i had the pump in the car for awhile now and never herd it this loud untill now, I have a new Fuel pump relay but i have to re wire the fuel pump the oem way i have it hooked up right now is not OEM but it never gave me problems till now, Also it doesnt prime EVERY single time sometimes i cycle the key back an forth b 4 it will prime. Any one elese here that they are about to blow when they whine real loud im glad it didnt crap on me in tampa because i live in pinellas lol!

you might want to check the fuelpump straner it maybe getting dirty

I wired it with the stock relay triggering an aftermarket relay with an isolated power feed to the pump to make sure it doesnt have a voltage drop by the other accessories in the car, keeps more constant voltage to the pump...if its staying on then either the relay is sticking and needs to be replaced or the trigger (which is the original fuel pump 12v+ signal) coming from the fuel pump relay or ignition switch is not right. It going to be louder wired this way because it is getting more voltage than going through the stock harness. additionally if you think that how i wired it is ghetto, i'd much rather you let me know personally so i can make it right.

What i meant to say, was i was not running the oem fuel relay. sorry for the misunderstanding Chris! It worked great up until now.

Its all good, I just take pride in my wiring and electrical abilities and if you have an issue with how i did something, i'd rather you tell me, straight up.
