Specnically Speaking: B-series Gear Ratio Guide + More!

the only advantage the b17 transmission has is the the input shaft for the clutch is the same size as the hydro, That the same transmission I had on my ef hatch and i put 2000 B16 1st 2nd and 3rd, 98 Gsr 4th and 5th with a 4.785 jdm type r final drive for my all motor ls/vtec before i sold it

P.S: that gear ratio is not highway use recommended lol, i hated it on the highway, but at the track the ish was a beast

there are a few different types. The YS1 is a jdm XSi or the old b17 gsr its the same

the usdm itr and the 95-97 jdm itr are also very very close (Y21,Y80,S80,S4C) you shouldnt notice a difference in these and they have the same final (4.4 i think)

if you want to keep performance just rev out first and go to 3 or 4th and quit bitchin. a LS final in b16 or gsr tranny is my fav.
