transmission flush

Is a transmission fluid flush needed after a certain number of miles? someone told me they werent needed....my civic has 85 thousand miles and i drive ALOT....anybody know what they help exactly

I HIGHLY recommend doing it....the fluid filter on my Integra got plugged somehow and there wasnt much going to the tranny and all the clutch plates got worn and I had to have the entire thing rebuilt. And all at 19000 miles!!! It may be a different ordeal for a manual...but thats the deal with my auto.

That reminds me have to do mine. I assume everyone just uses regular Honda MTX fluid ???

yup every 30K supposed to be done. Can probably get away with alot more but if driven hard (alot of city driving) Id get it done every 30-40K.
