Is a transmission fluid flush needed after a certain number of miles? someone told me they werent needed....my civic has 85 thousand miles and i drive ALOT....anybody know what they help exactly

I think its recomended to do every 30000 miles I usually do mine every 3rd time that I change my motor oil. With 85000 miles and it never being changed YOU WILL notice a smoother shifting tranny after you replace the fluid.

I HIGHLY recommend doing it....the fluid filter on my Integra got plugged somehow and there wasnt much going to the tranny and all the clutch plates got worn and I had to have the entire thing rebuilt. And all at 19000 miles!!! It may be a different ordeal for a manual...but thats the deal with my auto.

That reminds me have to do mine. I assume everyone just uses regular Honda MTX fluid ???
