ok--a friend of mine was asking me about his honda and running nitrous on it---i know all about nitrous but my question is what can honda blocks and fuel systems support---he has i believe a 93 civic dx with 120k--so i told him forget about running the juice to a motor with 120k unless he feels it is solid--and can afford to rebuild it--etc etc--------anyway i want to know what stock motors can handle what...as far as amount of nitrous the block itself can handle and what the stock fuel systems can support---thanks.....

Um with a 93 DX and 120K miles already.... I wouldnt run more than a 25 shot.
Honestly I think the block could handle a good 50shot as long as the oil changes/maintence was followed but its the _tranny_ I would be concerened about. People seem to forget that important thing that sends the motor power to the wheels. It might not be able to handle to much especially if he has been hard on it...
but hey its not my money... tell him to run a 75shot and have a GSR engine+tanny on hand...

hell be looking for a new motor soon the dx motor is probably the worst motor to put some sort of forced induction on if youve ever seen the rods on the dx motor you understand why Ive got pencils that are thicker than those rods. If he wants to put in different rods he should be fine if everything is tuned properly and doesnt flog on it to hard. He can put in b16a connecting rods but he needs to have the bottom of it re-bushed to fit the crank. But be a true friend go out and buy him a b18c5 he wont need nos then.
