b17 parts on b18

Question b17 parts on b18

my cuz haves a small issue,he haves a b17 gsr and a cylinder wall was damaged when installing the pistons. he bought a b18a and swap parts now the pistons dont sit flush on top of the cylinder wall.the piston sit in about 1/2 inch would this be a big problem.

hmmmmm, I would say yes, lol, but I don't really know what the fuck I am talking about when it comes to interchangeability of internals.

yes it is a problem....buy a b16 block instead. i beleive they have the same deck height as your b17. use your crank and rods too.

wow this is bad,well its not going to be a problem your compression will be around 70Psi"thats not good" but yes you dont want to use this. use stick with the Ls b18 bottom end get rid the crappy b17 you can use the b17 pistons on the ls rods it will bump your comprssion do to the the tiny tiny dome on them insted the dished in b18 pistons
