ECU Help?!?
I have an automatic z6, if I wanna swap it to 5-spd do I need a new ecu or can mine be switched to 5-spd? What else would I need besides the tranny, mount and shift links?
Yes the ecu can be converted to 5 speed.

you can convert the ecu, and it will be cheaper than buying a manual one.
you will need:
complete pedal assem (brake pedal too) (grab the 2 12mm nuts and the 1 12mm bolts that hold the clutch pedal in)
throttle cable
clutch master and slave and reservoir
steel clutch line
clutch line coupler
rubber clutch line
tranny (get the housing bolts too, some of them are differant)
complete linkage and shifter (with the bitch pin, and the 2 bolts that hold it to the chassis in the rear)
conversion upper trans mount ($115 online), or get the manual mount bracket welded in while you have the trans out. the bracket is like $30 from honda.
drill, 2 spare 12mm nuts 6 10mm bolts and 2 10mm nuts
shift boot
sheet metal and glue (to cover the hole where the auto shifter was)
clutch, pressure plate, throughout bearing, flywheel, flywheel bolts, pressure plate bolts
starter
a few feet of wire(for clutch switch and reverse lights)
front trans mount bracket
5 speed cat converter heat sheild (or bend it and the linkage will rub a lil, or just dont use one)
i think you need the rear mount bracket, not sure though
a few busted knuckles, an impact gun, a 12 point 10mm and a 12 point 17mm socket and about 2 hours
