i have an ls vtec 94 teg and the starter has never given me any problems until yesterday when i had to push start my car it wont make good contact with the flywheel can i adj this or do i just need to buy a new one

 

you shouldnt need to adjust it, you can loosen the bolts and wiggle it a bit, then tighten them back down. if that doesnt do it than buy a new one.

 

thats wat i figured im just broke cause im trying to finish the car its gonna be my dd so i need it to start without me having to push it lol

 

just park on hills whenever possible. i drove without a starter for a few weeks. you get used to it. when you do buy one make sure it has a lifetime warrenty. the once/two year warrenty parts suck ass.

 

ill get a new one tomorrow lol there are not many hills up here where im at in nc and its gonna be in the shop anyway

 

try and find one made in a metric country (like an oem one from honda). i have a feeling that all the U.S. made ones suck because they use SAE sized parts on them. plus its annoying to have a 1/2" nut on the starter when everything else on the car is metric.

There is no adjustment on them, if your sure that the electrical connections are good its time for a new one.

 

it grinds the bendix just aint makin good contact
