Default 1989 civic ex, aligning distributor marks?

My timming belt broke and I was wondering where the rotor should be at on the distributor in conjunction to the crankshaft being set at TDC on the compression stroke? number one right? also the rotor rotates clockwise right?

Default

they made a 89 ex?

i just do the screw driver trick to see where the 1 cylinder is at... then turn the head to top dead marks on the cam gear..

but if the timing belt snapped it prolly fucked up the head..
