Default Clutch Question

So yesterday i was driving my car and it just died on me. I came to a stop and tried putting it in a gear and it will just sit there. I would let go of the clutch while its in gear and no stall or anything. I hear something near the clutch sounding like something is spinning. The engine is a b17 and it has a cable tranny.
Can i use any b series clutch wit a cable tranny or do i need to buy a special clutch?

Please fastest way to contact me is call or text at 305-305-2968.

thank you and any input is much appreciated.

thanx
chris

did the cable break?? seen that before. but if your hearing noise from the tranny it could be a broken pressure plate

the cable is still there and u can still see the lever moving up and down.

I can put my car in gear while the clutch is not pressed in......

you need a clutch for your transmission, not the motor. the output shafts on the b16/b17 transmissions are bigger compared to the LS transmissions. if you have any questions, take the old one with you when you get a new one or buy both and return the one you dont need...lol. carquest can get you an actual Acura/Honda factory OEM clutch for pretty cheap through a company called World Pack if you want OEM reliability.

For the b-17 tranny which is the usdm GSR I think you need a actual clutch disc for a 92-93 teg due to the different size in shafts for that year. And that is the only years that the usdm had GSR teg's.

yeah man its either the clutch or the pressure plate, about a year ago the same thing happened to me. i was just driving and iwas accellerating and the car was not going any faster, when i took out the tranny the clutch disc was broken. i just went to tampa clutch off of 40th and bought a stage 2 4 puck dual friction clutch and pressure plate for like 250.00. ive had this clutch for a year and never had a problem
