IF A MOTOR IS HYDRO LOCKED YOU PRETTY MUCH HAVE TO REBUILD THE MOTOR RIGHT ????? PPL TELL ME THAT YOU DONT HAVE TO REBULID JUST FIND THE PROBLEM AND FIX THOSE????? NEED HELP BEFORE I BUY THIS CAR THANKZ

The first thing I would do, is an oil change then a compression test.
If that doesnt check out I would check your rods and the top of the pistons and valves.

Block:
Rods: check to see if they are bent.
Pistons: Check to see if there is any damage to the top of them.

Head:
Valves: check to see if they are bent

Essentially, your going to have to rebuild worse case.

^ checking all this is unnecessary, a compression test will reveal any of these problems. if you can even successfully get the motor to turn over to do a compression test it is probably ok.

^yupp easiest way is get a socket and wrence and try and turn the crank from the pullie,if you can then your better off just takeing it apart.dont try and turn the car over with the key then your just fucking up everything else..... first step if it does not turn take off the oil pan and see whats wrong.

the bad.you will need to rebuild alot.you will need a new crank/all 4 rods dont just replace one,then have the head checked by a machine shop

there i told you. is that what you want? the absolute worst thing you can do is cut corners in a situation like this. if its hydro locked most likely its bad case. ive never seen a hydro locked motor that did not need significant work.

easier/cheaper to usually replace the whole longblock.
