If an ls tranny supposedly blew out it's bearings, what do you think that means? Next will an ls 5th gear fit in a gsr tranny? I heard only will fit B16, supposedly gsr tranny is different, anyways lmk thanks

 

LS 5th gear can replace a b16 or gsr 5th gear.

Blew out bearings........ how does one know unless they take it apart for inspection. Usually the lower mainshaft bearing fails. Sometimes the upper countershaft bearing fails also.

 

^so what do you think they meant. You sure you can put a 5th in a gsr tranny? I know you can put it in a B16, but I heard it's like the diffs, b16 and LS are interchangeable, but gsr uses it's own, no swapping, lmk if you're 100% buddy, thanks

 

yes its doable. 92+ LS 5th will swap with a 92+ B16/gsr 5th gear.

Differential........ a b16 will swap with a gsr and vice versa, but you have to use the combo (dif and ring gear).
