Default Turbo Vs. LSVtec

Hey guys how goes it? I finished building a b18a1 with Type R pistons a few months ago I like it but I'm thinking of going in a diff direction. I originally wanted to go N/A High Compression/ITB's. Dollar for Dollar Turbo seems like the way to go. I'm looking for some opinions, I'm thinking LSV with a gsr trans or tearing it apart dropping in some low compression pistons and throwing maybe 8-10 lbs to it. Nothing crazy just looking for 250-300 hp ballpark. I'v found tons of builds online Just want some real-person feed back. thanks

i like my lsv. its got itr stuff in the bottom end. made 177 on an ok street tune. stock gsr head. with cams n valve train n some head work i should see around 200. turbo cars are fun, but save yourself the hassle if u already put the block together. with a turb setup there are more movin parts n more chance of a problem. u could build an ls v n spray it to make your 250 hp.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

IF YOUR goal is 250-300whp then turbo, its cheaper in the long run anyway

You could do a mild turbo setup or nitrous setup
