I just picked up a new tranny and threw it on. The guy I bought it from said it was a 5G ex however this tranny casing # was different and the black stamp was also different. The 5G trannies should have an S20 casing number and the 5g EX tranny should have a Y4G big black stamp on the top of the trannies bell housing. The tranny I picked up says S40 and the black stamp is K4F. If one of you 6G EX owners could check out the numbers on your trannies Id greatly appreciate it. Im 99% sure its the 6G EX as 2nd gear seems slightly shorter just want to make sure. Tanks.
