Exclamation LS Rods and GSR Piston Question?????

I have a LS bottom end (91) and Have some GSR P72 Pistons, with rods.. I have been told to use my LS rods and utilize the P72 Pistons... Yes they have to be pressed, But from all the documentation, either the piston needs to be shaved, or the bottom of the rod needs to be shaved and balanced, Has anyone done this before, and have any advice.....

Im also adding a 2000 B16 head, with GSR cams, and retaining the stock B16 stock valve train, also Keeping the car OBD-0, usinga PR3 ecu..

Thanks Cole

Advice of any sort would be greatly apprechieted...

Thanks

Mill the inside of the piston where the piston pin will slide through to clear the rods. I believe you will need to remove 1mm on each side. Take the pistons/rods to engine lab of tampa (enginelaboftampa.com) they have done it plenty of times.

You will need to re-size your ls rods if you are having arp rod bolts installed (recommended).
They can handle this as well.

b16a pistons fit ls rods with no mods, keep that in mind.

I know I have to use the arp head studs, so as mtbr recommended, 1mm on each side is what I have to do, what are your thoughts on my set up KJ, So do you think I should rather us the b16a JDM pistons rather than use the GSR Pistons??? Would you personally use the LS rods???? Thanks, Cole

I would use JDM p30 pistons as they make more compression then GSR pistons.
