Default Slicks with stock axles?

I have a b16 crx that id going turbo. it will actually be done wednesday. will i be ok to run slicks on stock da axles? cause i dont know how i will get the power down when at the track if i dont have slicks. What tires or slick can i get that i wont snap axles with and be able to get traction with? i should hopefully be around 300whp.

Power doesnt snap axles, Wheel hop snaps axles. i know plenty of people that run stock axles with slicks, but they have traction bars.

preload your drivetrain when launching. that should help you a big deal. the idea is to lessen the shock load to your drivetrain. wheel hop is a bitch but you shouldn't have to worry about that with slicks. you'll have to play around with the tire pressure for sure but always check them before each run because they will fluctuate with the heat from every run. what size tires did you get? for something in the 300 range, you should probably be using 22" or 23" tires. do you have lsd? camber kit?

i havent bought any slicks yet. would you recommend them on 14 or 15" wheels? Im pretty sure i dont have a stock lsd, and no i dont have a camber kit. Suspension setup right now is tokico illuminas (5 way adjustable) on skunk2 coilovers. and strutbars if that makes any diff. im running hondata s200, so i have 3 step. what rpm would be good to launch?

1.51 to 1.60 60fts on stock axles no traction bars and I have broken axles but It usually is just me being stupid and not preloading or raising the 2-step too far ...

For a normal car , not 60ing like mine you should be fine . I never broke 1 axle when I was cutting 1.71's and the like in my Si . Only when I got into the 1.6's .

Your actually less likely to brake an axle with a slick as it lets the tire give
