Im saving to get my ls rebuild and then after all i wanna put 50 maybe 75 shot on it so i can have that extra power with the press of a button, my buddy keeps telling me i will blow my car up, its same guy i tried proving that replacing cat with str8 pipe on stock exhaust wont add him 20hp like he thought so i figure ill post this so some other people will prove him wrong but maybe im wrong, the guy that will be doing it wil get my block bored out for bigger pistons (81.5mm), then he will get my crank micropolished or turned if it has hash marks on it from the bearings. Also new ARP rod bolts. New high CR pistons, nitrate rings, wrists pins, all new engine bearings, thrust washers, all new main and rear seals, oil pan seal, head gasket, head gasket seals, intake and exhaust gasket. This will bring my Compression ratio to about 11.48:1. So after that im looking at pretty much brand new motor, would 50 to 75 wet shot hurt it or is it going to be perfectly fine? Im not gonna be on a track every weekend either, every once in a while.

 

from the questions i asked and they answer that i got u should be fine just make sure u run a cold range plug(?) annd get the timing right.

 

i think that will be fine seeing that you getting the motor semi built. you must mean cp pistons. what about rods? but oem may be fine on that amount of spray. also do not forget about arp head studs. all in alll get a good tune when your build is complete. also you may want to stop listening to that friend or get new friends that is knowledgeable about cars and or honda's... good luck.

Im not listening to him, we work together and i told him my plans and he said i will mess up my car with it, the guy that will be doing my motor is DJNano on here and he knows his shit, im just trying to prove my point to my buddy from work.

 

a 50-75 shot would be fine!!! the only way it will hurt your engine is from driver error (missing shifts, etc...) a stock engine can hold a 50 shot just fine...I suggest you hook it up to your pedal instead of a button tho...

 

Yea my buddy was telling me about that i forgot what it was called but i can tune it and have it spray for example at 3k rpms and it stops at redline, that way it wont hurt nothing if i miss shift.

 

probly with that setup whn u spray tht 50 shot ull jus clean the gunk outy of your motor..i would put it to a 100 shot and as HAZED said be weary of driver error..only with ur built setup would i even consider 100 shot.

 

a stock ls can hold 75 no problem and it cleans your shyt out anything higher is risky but thats on a stock motor and assuming you know how to drive...but like dude said you mite as well throw 100shot cause you are running it on a built motor...
