clutch pedal problem

Default clutch pedal problem

94 honda civic ex

the pedal has no presure ...it just clicks back and you have to pull it back up .... do i need to bleed the line ?


if so whats the best way to do that ?

just like you bleed the brakes except at the clutch slave cylinder

i tried that ... it still didnt fix the pedal problem .... does it suck air back in when you release the slave cylinder ?

Fill the clutch master all the way up with fluid, then put the cap back on and pump the clutch pedal about5-6 times, then openb up the clutch master again and add fluid. continue to do this until the pedal gets harder. If it doesnt get harder, check for leaks at the clutch master and the slave, make sure u look inside the car where the cluch master bolts to cause alot of the times they will leak from there

Either your master or slave are bypassing the fluid, which means one or both need to be replaced, or your clutch is bad. I doubt bleeding it will do any good, it's a closed system, so if air gets into the line, or the master goes empty, then you most likely have a leak somewhere.
