voltmeter hook itup to ant 12 volt source with a good source
oil pressure is it mechnical or elctrical? electrical hook it up to oil pressure switch at the back of the block. or replace with new sending unit and hook the sending to that and ground at a good gound source.

yes............and it's pretty easy you just have to be easy when putting the oil PSI gauge on the back of the block, you can crack it.
