a/c = idle problem
its a 97 accord se. its a f22. the car idles fine, but whenever you turn on the a/c the car kinda chokes or studders and drops in rpm. then the car shakes really bad. i was told it may be the idle boost valve. but i dont know what that is or where it is. it would be helpful if someone had a pic or something.
thanks guys

if its not the idle boost valve try letting mechanic check the a/c clutch..
more oftenly the honda's a/c compressor problem is its clutch...

also check the motor mounts. i have found that when the motor mounts are bad it will cause this vibration when the motor drops in rpm. or also if someone has added motor mount inserts this will also cause this.

Could be a bad compressor.
There is a idle step up when the A/C is turned on, that works with the fuel injection. Not sure if it's a selinod or motor on the TB, but it's controled by the computer or relay.

A/C works great.. so im not sure if compressor is going bad though?? if i rev my car at idle or when im driving with no stoping the car it runs smooth with cold a/c.. but if i dont rev the car when its at idle and the a/c is on it chokes/low rpm/car shakes.. ?? i donno.

on my civic d16z6 when my idle air control valve went bad the car did this. i replaced it, cleaned out the throttle body as well and got it running correctly.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.
