Default transmission problems

i got a da with a ys1 tranny and i was driving it last night and all of a sudden i have no gears, my clutch wasnt slipping or anything, so i thought it was the pin for my linkage but its nots. everything from my shifter to the tranny is all there and connected. but when i move the shifter around, the linkage into the tranny it clicks and wont grab. i can literally do circles with with my shifter and not catch anything. i dont know shit about tranny so i hope i can get some help let me know thanks.

"all of a sudden"....... just normal driving? I will guess and say you broke the spider gears in the differential.

If I understand your post correctly........ the transmission goes into gear but there is no movement of the car in any gear?

with any transaxle problem, the transmission must be removed and disassembled to correct the issue. My suggestion is that you remove the trans and give it to someone qualified to repair it properly. Depending on your location, lzylst (if he has time, I dont want to speak for him, but i know he does good work) or myself would be two people right off the top of my head.
