Well Edmunds obviously doesnt know what a type r is as im quite positive you wont find a 97 type r in good reliable condition for 12600. Crunch numbers all you want it aint gonna happen. Believe me if i could have had a type r and totally built the engine for the price of my Si i would have done it. Case in point: Edmunds doesnt know shit.

As far as converting a gsr to a type r its all up to the individual. I suppose they could argue that their converted car is way more original than a stock type-r. Chock it all up to being different i guess.

That would be spoony he sold his car... But if you got the money to do it and it was cheaper then what other people buy it for A LOT Cheaper then go for it...Thats like saying Why would a person take there integra GSR and make it look like a JDM ITR...theres a Yellow Ek hatch sporting Civic type-r stickers and its turbo so you are saying thats rice too 5 lug conversion..why wouldnt they just buy the Real Civic type -r????I think we all have seen more then enough rice at the track...and u pic his car out specifically.........

Were talking a cosmetics change over from GSR to Type R. A real conversion would take a little more than that.

my jetta GL has VR6 and Wolfsburg Edition bagdes on it...but its not. is that so wrong? hehe they were on there when i purchased it.

trust me yu dumb ass you cant get a 97 type-r for 12600 are you stupid or something......and why are you worried about what people are doing with there money. Trust me I am in the business to make money.....I would do anything to my car unless I could make money off of it. So keep your damn comments to yourself man. Trust me....if you think that the type-r conversion costs 3 grand then you also got ripped off man....I guess you dont know where to shop...maybe you should start bying stuff from me.......or maybe you should keep buying stuff at over retail price.............if you want a type-r for real I can get you a 98 type-r 40k miles for 12500 let me know if you are interested......because if I were you I would get rid of my 2001 and get the less expensive car.......then you would still have all of that money let over...................just makes a little more sense to me

this post obviously sparked more than i expected...

I was just asking a question... and I got answers... cool. We all have our flavours...

as for the 2001 thanks but ill keep the gs-r since the g/f like the sound dampening and the sunroof... and leftover cash is fine as it stands now...
