yeah i would go with a 10W-30 with this heat. pointless to use 10W-40

I personally would go with the 10-40. This is beause the viscosity will hold up better in this heat. If and when your car starts to burn oil then i would step up to a 20-50 or a straight 40 weight. Enjoy..

I have the same car not running high compression or boost and have found the best results with 10-30 in the summer and 5-30 the rest of the year. Not synthetic just pennzoil or valvoline.
